The Rare Disease Function is the founder of the Ghent University Action on Rare Diseases (GUARD) consortium, a consortium of researchers from the Ghent University and Ghent University Hospital dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of rare diseases by bringing together the expertise of basic research scientists, clinical scientists, and translational scientists.
