The focus of our Medical Imaging Scientific Unit is on innovative diagnostics to support scientific research across a wide range of conditions (oncological, neurological, rheumatological, urogenital, musculoskeletal, infectious/inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases).
We participate in Phase I, II and III clinical trials in both adult and paediatric populations, always in accordance with legislation and applicable quality standards. As objective tumour response assessors, we form a vital link in drug development and contribute to innovative treatments for the future.
We also set up our own academic studies in various fields, in collaboration with other departments within UZ Gent as well as with external partners.
All projects are supervised and coordinated by radiologists, doctors and experienced study coordinators, each with their own specific expertise.
