The Pediatric Hematology-Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation department at UZ Gent is the largest in Belgium. We treat approximately 90 new patients annually, the majority of whom are referred to us from both within Belgium and abroad. Additionally, we perform around 15 stem cell transplants each year and are also the reference center in Belgium for CAR-T treatment in children. The majority of our patients are treated within the framework of an academic or commercial clinical trial. For this, we collaborate closely with both national and international consortia.
