The department for General and hepatobiliary surgery is specialized in:
- Development / refinement of minimal invasive techniques for complex liver, gallbladder, and pancreas surgeries
- Use of innovative imaging technologies, such as 3D imaging and augmented reality, to improve precision
- Research on liver regeneration, portal vein embolization, and ALPPS. Innovations in the treatment of liver and biliary tumors, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Optimization of ERAS protocols and techniques for abdominal wall reconstruction, such as biocompatible meshes, component separation, and prophylactic mesh placement to reduce complications and recurrences.
