The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology focuses on clinical and translational research within the following domains: inflammatory bowel diseases, digestive oncology, hepatology, biliopancreatic disorders, and endoscopy. In addition to access to a large clinical database, there is also a connection to a historically established biobank. Alongside its clinical expertise, the department is supported by a group of basic researchers.
