Patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models are superior preclinical cancer models that are essential for drug development, biomarker research, and fundamental biology. UGent’s expertise in developing and using PDX models has grown significantly in recent years. With the launch of the PDXGhent core facility, we aim to centralize this knowledge, provide technical support, and strengthen collaboration with the university hospital and industrial partners to accelerate the delivery of promising new therapies to cancer patients.
