The Digital Polymerase Chain Reaction Core facility (DIGPCR) will bring together the infrastructure and expertise on digital PCR at Ghent University that is already present in our cross-faculty DIGPCR Center. Digital PCR is an emerging method for absolute quantification of target nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and is increasingly gaining interest from molecular and clinical labs in academia and industry to make this the preferred platform for such analyses.
Services
- Five digital PCR instruments (currently available at the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences and Veterinary Sciences):
- Roche DLC
- Sniper DQ24
- Qiagen Qiacuity
- Stilla Nio E (Faculty of Veterinary Sciences)
- Bio-Rad QX200.
- Core DIGPCR provides guidance and services for experimental design, performing dPCR experiments, and data analysis, both for Ghent University researchers and for researchers from external public or private institutions.
