This research area focuses primarily on non-respiratory sleep disorders in children and young people. The focus is on physiological processes during sleep and disruptions caused by underlying sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, RLS syndrome, parasomnias and insomnia. The research line aims to gain insights into pathophysiological mechanisms by adopting a multidisciplinary approach (comorbidity) within a continuous perspective (collaboration with adult somnologists).
