The department Anesthesia and perioperative medicine focusses on: 

• Improvements and automatisation in technologies that guarantee patient safety during anesthesia
• Patient specific approach: innovations in personalized anesthesia and personalized ventilation techniques taking into account individual patient characteristics (co-morbidity, pharmacokinetic differences) to offer the right anesthesia technique
• Study and optimization of hemodynamics, pulmonary circulation and organ perfusion of essential organs.
